Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a young and ambitious technical university founded in 1956. Prof. Bert Blocken is Professor and Chair of Building Physics & Urban Physics, with specific expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics. He has published more than 120 journal papers with peer review and over 180 conference papers in the fields of urban physics, building physics and environmental wind engineering. He has co-organized two international conferences in these fields in the past 4 years. He received several international awards for his work, including 3 best-paper awards and 1 top-cited author award from international journals and the 2013 Junior Award from the International Association of Wind Engineering. Dr. Ivo Kalkman is a post-doctoral researcher in Computational Fluid Dynamics for Wind Engineering. He has published 20 journal and conference papers.
