Ana comes from Serbia. She obtained her Master degree in Civil Engineering, specialized in area of steel structures design and modelling. During her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Belgrade at modules Building physics and Technical physics.

In September 2015, she joined Institute for Steel Construction at Leibniz University in Hanover, where she is writing her PhD thesis and at the same time working as a research assistant within the AEOLUS4FUTURE project. Her ongoing research is related to the reliability analysis and implementing of a probabilistic approach into the design of offshore wind turbine structures.

Her current work includes post-processing and examination of the results obtained by applying wave and wind load effects on finite element models of offshore wind turbines structures, through many numerical simulations and sampling methods, including the effects of uncertainties on the results. Probabilistic methods used within the research are POT (Peak-Over-Threshold), MCS (Monte Carlo Simulation), Latin Hypercube Sampling, Sobol´indices, Gaussian Mixture Model, etc.
